(More customer reviews)When I bought the set I was not aware of the "pop-up" functionality that it had I just wanted the set because I thought it looked really cool as it was and the possibility to use the pieces in otherconstructions. But after I have built the droid I feel like I don't want todisassemble it, I'm even thinking about buying another set!
Now that Ihave been playing around with it a few days I must say that it by far themost advanced and intricate Lego model I ever seen, it's not the amount ofpieces that are fascinating, it's the construction, it makes you wonder howmany sleepless nights it took for constructor of this model to finalize it.
Even though the model is complicated it's fairly easy to follow thebuilding instructions and build the model but I can imagine some youngerchildren might need some assistance.Since it is a construction thatdepends on a chain reaction that is triggered by a "push-button"it has to function correctly all the way through the course of events thatit causes which means that all the parts have to work together. I had torebuild the model once to get the right functionality and it might takesome time to calibrate the construction. But I promise you it's worthit!
As many times before I'm surprised by the amount of pieces that comesin the box, when looking on the box the set doesn't seem to contain as manypieces as it actually does, for me it's a positive surprise and an otherpositive fact was that it contained less "special" pieces than Ithought, the only pieces that was really "special" was the"toes" at the end of the legs.
I sincerely believe that thisset ought to amaze anyone that is slightly interested in technicalconstructions and even some of those who are less interested.
