Best way to buy these figures is to get the 3 pack of figures in the Lego Star Wars magnet pack. You can get three fully functional Lego Star Wars figures that comes with a separate magnet for around $14.99.
You can throw away the magnet base and the figure is identical to that you would get from the other boxed sets.
Best price ($14.99) is at LEGOLAND. Stock up if you go there or ask someone else to pick them up for you if they are going there on vacation.
Prices on Amazon for these magnet packs is a little bit high.
